Editorial Policy

People make real decisions on the strength of what we publish: which course to take, which qualification to pay for, which deadline to chase. This page sets out how we try to earn that.

Where our information comes from

We prefer primary sources, in this order:

1. The body that sets the rule: the examination board, the ministry, the accreditor, the university’s own registrar
2. The institution concerned, in its own published material
3. Reporting that cites one of the above and can be checked

Where a figure comes from somewhere weaker than that, we say so on the page.

What we verify before publishing

• Numbers that vary by institution are labelled as typical, with the range stated, not presented as universal
• Deadlines and fees are checked against the awarding body, and readers are told to confirm at source before acting
• Cut-off marks and entry requirements are attributed to a specific admission cycle, never presented as permanent
• Anything that changes annually is either kept out of evergreen articles or clearly dated

What we will not do

• We do not invent specifics. A plausible-sounding number that has not been checked is worse than saying we do not know.
• We do not fabricate authors. Every article carries a real named person who is accountable for it. There is no house byline standing in for a human.
• We do not publish sponsored content as editorial. We do not sell links, placements or coverage.
• We do not gate anything. No article is truncated to collect an email address.

How AI is used

We use AI tools in research and drafting, in the same way a writer uses a search engine or an editor uses a style guide. Every article is reviewed, fact-checked and signed off by a named human editor before it publishes, and that person is accountable for what it says. Nothing goes live unread. Where a claim could not be verified against a source we trust, it does not appear.

Corrections

When we get something wrong, we fix it and say so. Substantive corrections are noted at the foot of the article with the date and what changed. Typographical fixes are made silently. We do not delete an article to make an error disappear. Tell us at hello@everythx.com.

Updating and review

Method articles are reviewed every six to twelve months. Anything tied to an examination or admission calendar is reviewed each cycle. Where an article has been substantially revised, the update date is shown rather than the original publication date alone.

Advertising and independence

This site is funded by display advertising served programmatically through Google AdSense. We do not choose the individual adverts and advertisers have no involvement in, or sight of, editorial before publication. Advertising slots are fixed, labelled and kept out of the body of the article. No article has ever been commissioned, altered or withdrawn because of an advertiser.

Reader contributions

We do not run comments, accept guest posts, or publish user-submitted articles. Corrections and topic suggestions from readers are welcome and are frequently the reason an article gets written or fixed.
