Found a mistake?

This is the message we most want to receive. If a figure is wrong, a rule has changed, or an article is out of date, tell us which article and what is wrong. We check it against the primary source and correct it. Where the correction changes the substance of the piece, we note what changed and when, at the foot of the article, rather than quietly editing the error away. Our editorial policy sets out how corrections are handled.

• What specifically is wrong or unclear
• Where the correct information comes from, if you have it

Other reasons to write

• Suggest a topic. If you searched for something and could not find a straight answer anywhere, that is exactly the kind of article we want to write.
• Advertising. Display advertising on this site is sold programmatically through Google AdSense. We do not sell direct placements, sponsored posts or links.
• Press and permissions. To quote or reproduce anything from the site, write and ask. We usually say yes.
• Privacy. Requests relating to personal data are covered by our privacy policy.

What we cannot do

We cannot tell you your exam results, change a grade, chase an application on your behalf, or give personalised legal, medical, immigration or financial advice. We are a publication, not an agent or an adviser. For anything that turns on your individual circumstances, the institution or a qualified professional is the right place to ask.
