Over six thousand Cameroonian students follow our GCE channel, and there are study groups where candidates work together. Which one to join, how to get real value from a group, and how to stay safe in one.
Studying alone is harder than it needs to be. Most Cameroonian candidates are working through the same syllabus, hitting the same topics, and searching for the same past papers, entirely separately.
The eStudyUniverse community exists so that stops being true. Here is what there is and which part you should join.
The GCE channel
Over six thousand Cameroonian students follow our WhatsApp channel, and it is specifically for the Cameroon GCE rather than for exams generally.
A channel is broadcast only. Announcements, timetable and syllabus news, past paper releases and revision guidance reach you, and it does not fill your phone with hundreds of messages a day. If you want one thing, make it this one.
The Advanced Level group
Where the channel broadcasts, the group is a conversation. Candidates ask each other questions, work through topics together, and share what they have found.
The current group is for the 2025/2026 Advanced Level session. If that is your year, this is your group.

Most people should follow the channel. The group is worth joining on top of it if you will actually use it, and worth leaving if it becomes noise.
Getting real value from a study group
Group chats can be genuinely useful or a straightforward waste of an evening, and the difference is mostly habits.
- Ask specific questions. “I do not understand this topic” gets nothing. “Why does the answer use this method rather than that one” gets an answer.
- Answer other people. Explaining something aloud exposes your own gaps within seconds, which is why the person answering usually learns more than the person asking.
- Mute it while you work. Then check it deliberately. A group open beside you during revision is a distraction wearing the clothes of study.
- Verify anything specific. Dates, cut off marks and requirements circulate in groups constantly and are frequently out of date. Confirm at the source before acting on it.
- Do not swap answers to assessed work. It is cheating, and it leaves you unable to sit the paper, which is the practical problem.

Staying safe in any group
Many members are secondary school students, so this matters and it is worth saying plainly.
- Nobody in a study group needs your money. Anyone selling guaranteed results, leaked papers or admission is defrauding you. Leaked papers are usually fake and always a serious offence.
- Never share personal details beyond what you are comfortable being seen by strangers. Your number is visible to other members of a group.
- Never send money, bank details or identity documents to anyone you met in a group.
- Report and leave if anyone contacts you privately in a way that makes you uncomfortable, and tell an adult you trust.

Studying in your own school or town
An online group does not replace people you can sit with, and the strongest arrangement is usually both.
If you can find two or three classmates sitting the same subjects, agree fixed times and a specific topic for each session. A group that meets without deciding what it is doing becomes conversation within twenty minutes, every time.
Shared silence works too. Two candidates working separately in the same room sustain concentration better than either does alone, and neither has to prepare anything.
