Rules change, and they vary

Credit requirements, semester lengths, grading scales, entry criteria, fees and deadlines differ between countries, between institutions, and between one intake and the next. Where we give a figure, it is typical rather than universal unless we say otherwise, and we tell you which body to confirm it with.

Always confirm anything you are going to act on with the institution or examining body itself. An article on this site is a starting point for understanding, not a substitute for the official source.
