Privacy Policy

What everythx.com collects, what it does not, and how advertising and analytics cookies work on this site.

This policy explains what happens to information collected when you visit everythx.com. It was last updated on 7 September 2026.

The short version

  • You can read everything on this site without giving us any personal information.
  • We do not ask for your name or email address, we do not run comments, and we do not have accounts.
  • We use Google Analytics to count visits and Google AdSense to show adverts. Both set cookies.
  • We do not sell personal information.

Information collected automatically

Like almost every website, our web server records standard technical information each time a page is requested. That includes your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, the page you asked for, the page you arrived from, and the date and time. This information is used to keep the site running, diagnose faults and understand broad traffic patterns. It is not used to identify you personally.

Cookies

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website. This site uses cookies in three ways.

Necessary cookies

A small number of cookies are required for the site to function and to remember your cookie preferences. These cannot be switched off.

Analytics cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how many people visit, which articles they read and how they found us. Google Analytics sets cookies that record your visit in aggregate. We have not enabled any Google Analytics advertising features that would link your visit to an advertising profile. You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data entirely by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Advertising cookies

This site displays adverts served by Google AdSense. The following disclosures are required by Google and are accurate for this site:

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve adverts based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve adverts to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.
  • You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
  • You can opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices or, in Europe, at youronlinechoices.eu.
  • Third-party vendors and ad networks other than Google may also serve adverts on this site and set their own cookies. We do not control those cookies.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you are asked for consent before any non-essential cookie is set, and adverts are served in non-personalised mode unless you consent. You can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings link in the site footer.

What we do not do

  • We do not run a newsletter and we do not collect email addresses.
  • We do not have user accounts, logins or profiles.
  • We do not run a comment section.
  • We do not sell, rent or trade personal information to anyone.
  • We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

External links

Articles link to universities, examination boards, government bodies and other websites. Once you follow a link you are on someone else’s site and their privacy policy applies, not ours. We check links at the time of writing but we cannot control what those sites do afterwards.

Your rights

Because we do not collect names, email addresses or accounts, we hold almost nothing that identifies you. Where you have rights under the GDPR, the UK GDPR or the CCPA to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your personal data, write to us at the address below and we will act on it. For data held by Google as a result of its analytics and advertising cookies, use the Google links above, which reach Google’s own controls directly.

Data retention and security

Server logs are retained for a short period for troubleshooting and then overwritten. The site is served over HTTPS. No transmission over the internet is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version is posted here with a new date at the top. Material changes will be noted on the page rather than made silently.
